BBQ Chicken Pizza
Looking for a quick and easy meal for a busy weeknight? The BBQ Chicken Pizza is just that meal! Kid-approved, too!

I don’t know about you, but some nights I just do not feel like cooking a big meal for my family. Or I’m just too busy! With the home renovation, we are going through right now, I need all the quick and easy recipes I can find. Otherwise, we’ll be having McDonald’s every night of the week. That might be okay with my daughter, but I get kind of sick of it after a while. And nothing beats a home-cooked meal.
This recipe for BBQ Chicken Pizza is a quick and easy recipe just for those busy weeknights. I can prepare ahead of time so all I have to do is throw the pizza together and cook it. Even if I forget to prep ahead, this recipe only takes a few minutes to make.

BBQ Chicken Pizza Recipe
What you need:

- Tube of refrigerated pizza dough
- BBQ sauce
- Chicken breast, cooked and diced
- Diced bell peppers
- Diced red onions
- Shredded cheese of your choice (I used a mixture of mozzarella and cheddar)
What you do:
- Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough using a rolling pin or your hands. Bake in a preheated 425*F oven for about 7 minutes.
- While the dough is baking, put about a cup of BBQ sauce in a small bowl and add the cubes of chicken; mix well.
- When the dough is done, add a few tablespoons of BBQ sauce to the dough and spread around. Add the chicken, peppers, onions, and cheese.
- Return pizza to oven and cook 10-12 minutes longer, until cheese is melted and dough is golden brown.

That’s all there is to it! You could also prepare ahead of time by dicing your peppers and onions and storing them in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. Also, you can cook your chicken in the slow cooker as I did for my Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Wraps recipe. Then you can shred your chicken instead of having it cubed.

Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Roll out the pizza dough with a rolling pin or your hands; bake in preheated oven for 7 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix chicken with 1 cup of BBQ sauce in a small bowl.
- Cover pizza dough with 3 or 4 tablespoons BBQ sauce, then add chicken, peppers, onions, and cheese.
- Return pizza to oven, cook for 10-12 minutes longer, or until cheese is melted and dough is golden brown.
