Welcome to June! Can you believe summer is already here? Well, not officially, but to me when June comes, it’s summer.

Since it’s a new month, it’s time for a new themed blog hop! These are always so much fun and I thank Terrie from Decorate and More with Tip for hosting these every month. Be sure to visit her blog for some great DIY home decor ideas! Also, I’ll link to the other participants at the bottom of this post, so make sure to visit them, too.

This month’s DIY theme is 4th of July. Perfect theme for this month!

If you’re here from Cindy’s blog, welcome! I’m so glad you’re joining me today!

How to Make a Grapevine Wreath to Celebrate the 4th of July

This project is so easy to put together and you only need a few supplies. This 4th of July grapevine wreath project only cost me $2 to make since I already had the grapevine wreath on hand.

What you need:

  • Grapevine wreath (you can find these at Walmart, Michael’s, or on Amazon)
  • 4th of July scarf from Dollar Tree (here)
  • Hanging star decoration (here)
  • Hot glue gun and glue stick

What you do:

Step 1

First, lay the 4th of July Dollar Tree scarf flat with the front side facing down. Then lay the grapevine wreath on top of the scarf, closer to one end. Leave enough scarf edge so that it can be tied to the other edge.

Next, wrap the longer edge of the scarf around the grapevine wreath and tie the scarf in a knot on one side of the wreath. One edge of the scarf will be longer, and that’s what you want to happen.

Step 2

Remove one of the stars from the hanging star decoration. I chose to use the blue one for my 4th of July grapevine wreath. The stars are easy to remove because they are just stapled to burlap.

Then, use hot glue to glue the star to the knot you just tied in the scarf.

Step 3

Hang up your 4th of July grapevine wreath and enjoy!
