hanging sachet DIY for closets

No Sew Hanging Sachet

Give your closets a refresh with a hanging sachet scented with your favorite essential oil!

Ingredients
  

  • Fabric
  • Ribbon
  • Hem tape
  • Ruler
  • Scissors or Rotary Cutter
  • 1/4 cup Epsom salt helps hold essential oil for lasting scent
  • 1/2 cup white rice
  • 18-20 drops Essential Oil any oil(s) of your choice
  • Small bowl or measuring cup
  • Spoon

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix the Epsom salt and riceuntil combined. Add 18-20 drops of the essential oil (or oils) and stir untilcombined. Set aside.
  • Using a rotary tool or scissors, cut the fabric into a 5" x 10" rectangle.
  • Iron the fabric to get all the wrinkles out so that it'seasier to work with.
  • Fold the fabric in half longways with the right side facing in and iron the edge to make a crease. (You can skip this step, but it makes it easir to add the tape and iron down.)
  • Lay the hem tape along the edges of the fabric. Fold the tophalf over and iron. Follow the instructions on the hem tape for ironing.
  • Turn the sachet right side out and add the essential oilmixture. Don't fill it completely full or you will have a really hard timeclosing the sachet.
  • Fold the top edges of the fabric down towards the inside ofthe hanging sachet. Insert the ribbon (mine was about 10" long), then laythe hem tape over the ribbon and iron to close.
  • Hang the sachet in your closet for a fresh scent!
