Last week was a lot better as far as anxiety and panic goes for me. So before I get into this grapevine wreath DIY I want to thank you all for your kind words and understanding. That meant a lot to me!

Now let’s get on to today’s DIY!

It’s the beginning of a new month, which means a team challenge DIY hosted by Terrie from decorateandmorewithtip.com. I’ll be sharing more grapevine wreath inspirations from the other great DIY bloggers after my post, so keep reading!

Grapevine Wreath Challenge

For this month’s challenge, we are to use a grapevine wreath and decorate it any way we choose. I love the look of grapevine wreaths, but some of them can be super expensive. My wreath cost around $6!

I used a wreath I already had on hand and some items from

What you do

Step 1

The first thing I did was slide the yard stake down into the wreath to see where I needed to cut it. I marked the spot and cut it off with wire cutters. This was a little challenging because my wire cutters are about 300 years old, but I finally got it.

Step 1 - Add the stake

Step 2

After cutting the stake, I slid it back down into the wreath so I could see where to put the greenery. I just stuck one piece on each side, then added the lavender in front of it.

There’s space in between because I wanted to leave enough room for the tiny flower pot.

Step 2 - add the greenery

Step 3

Next, I started working on the little flower pot. I cut a small piece of floral foam from a bigger block and placed it into the bottom of the pot. This can be glued down if you want a more permanent fix, however, I didn’t glue mine.

Then I cut 3 stems from a bunch of lavender and placed them into the floral foam. Finally, I added a little bow made from jute twine.

Step 4

Next, I glued the mini flower pot to the grapevine wreath with hot glue. I placed it in the space that I left when I added the greenery and lavender.

Step 4- glue the flower pot to the wreath

Step 5

The last thing I did was attach a burlap ribbon to the top of the wreath for hanging.

I’m happy with how my grapevine wreath turned out. The hardest part is figuring out where to hang it!
