We all have that one person that is hard to buy for or the one who has everything and you have no idea what to give them.
There’s also the family member that decides at the last minute to show up for Christmas. So now you feel you have to have a gift for them.
Gift baskets are perfect for such occasions. They are easy to put together and you can keep them under $20.
However, they’re not just for the hard to buy for or the last-minute guest. They are perfect for anyone on your list!
Here’s a list of gift basket ideas that you can put together yourself for under $20!
Who doesn’t love staying in on a cold winter’s night snuggled up with a blanket and a good movie? Fill a large popcorn bowl with a favorite movie, movie theater candy, and popcorn. For the popcorn, just pop some microwaveable popcorn and put it in some cute bags. Tuck in a light throw and some cozy socks, too.
Use a bucket as the basket for this gift basket idea. (You can get a cheap mop bucket at Dollar Tree or Walmart.) Grab a car washing kit, take the contents out and place them in the bucket neatly. Include their favorite air freshener scent, too. The perfect gift for guys and the teens who just got a new car.
This basket is perfect for those who love to bake. Fill a batter bowl with baker’s goodies, such as measuring spoons, silicone whisks, cookie cutters, and cookie mix. You could also add an apron and oven mitts. The best part is that you can get most of these items from Dollar Tree.
A colander makes the perfect basket for the chef in the family. Fill it up with gourmet pasta, pasta sauce, cheeses, Italian spices, a tea towel, and breadsticks.
Fill a cute basket or large jar with travel size body wash, lotion, face masks, scented soaps, and a scented LED candle.
Another option is nail polish and polish remover with a nail file, nail clippers, and pumice stone. If she’s a book lover, consider a novel with a calming candle and a soft throw in a cute basket.
Teen boys love to eat so what’s better than food to fill up a basket? Think candy, sweets, chips, popcorn, and juice boxes.
If he’s into sports: a sports magazine, a small sports ball, athletic socks, and sports cards.
Instead of a traditional basket, a large jar with a lid works perfectly for holding ice cream supplies. Fill it up with ice cream cones, hot fudge and caramel sauce, sprinkles, chopped walnuts, and an ice cream scoop.
You’ll have to get creative with your basket here and find a long one to hold a wine bottle. Add some chocolate covered pretzels, a unique wine bottle stopper, and a small scented candle.
A wooden crate would look so cute in place of the basket in this case. Add some cute coffee mugs, ground coffee or beans, to-go coffee cups with cup cozies, sugar and creamer packs, and stir sticks. Consider adding a personal touch with some handmade candies or cookies.
Fill a basket with everything the hot chocolate addict needs! Add packs of hot chocolate, a small bag of mini marshmallows, candy canes, homemade cookies, and some chocolate candies. Don’t forget the cute mug!
