Cake Mix Fudge Crinkle Cookies

Chocolate. I just cannot help myself when it comes to chocolate! I think I may have a serious problem. I’m pretty much addicted. But it’s just so good! And so are these cake mix fudge crinkle cookies!

Have you ever had a chocolate lava cake? Those little chocolate cakes with warm gooey chocolate that ooze out of the middle when you cut into them? Basically Heaven on a plate. Well, these cookies taste almost exactly like a lava cake without the flowing chocolate.

What you will need:

  • 1 box of devil’s food cake mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Powdered Sugar

What you will do:

Step 1

Heat oven to 350Β°F (325Β°F for dark or nonstick cookie sheets). In large bowl, stir dry cake mix, oil, eggs and vanilla with spoon until dough forms.

Step 2

Refrigerate dough 15 to 30 minutes, or as needed for easier handling. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar. On an ungreased cookie sheets, place balls about 2 inches apart. (I am absolutely in love with my Rachel Ray nonstick cookie pans. I have had them for years and use them often. They are still nonstick and still look almost new!)

Step 3

Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

There you go! A quick and super easy recipe to cure your chocolate craving!

These cake mix fudge crinkle cookies are to die for!

  2. I love your baking posts Michelle cause they’re just so user-friendly! These
look delish beyond words; I love cakey cookies. Are these the same thing as β€œbrookies”?

  3. Ahh.. I recently bought a set of ramekins and made lava cakes, you just reminded me of those! So good… and so bad in terms of trying to eat healthier after the Christmas feasts!

  4. Yummmm! I had something like this at church right before Christmas, so I went out and bought the pre packaged mix. We made them and although they were good, they didn’t quite have the same texture as the ones made with cake mix and I think that is the ticket to the moist chewy texture. I must try your recipe πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing, Michelle!

  5. I love these cookies too! I made a batch to put on my Christmas cookie plates. They are beautiful and delicious…a winning combination…plus they aren’t hard to make at all.

I love to hear from you!
